The Company:

Los Charitos SRL is a family-run business set up in ***9. Our main objective is to manufacture and participate in the different links of value chains: from production to end users.

Our strategy for the production of goods is based on i) our own production, ii) association with other manufacturers, and iii) the purchase of goods to third-parties.

Own production: Los Charitos rents selected fields in production areas which are considered to be more appropriate for a certain product, hires the required labor activities and provides the agrochemicals that are to be used. The technical and operative management is **0% in charge of the company.

Association with other manufacturers: Manufacturing in association is a normal activity in Argentina. Los Charitos works in association with serious and responsible companies established in the production areas with the purpose of manufacturing goods with safety. Thus, both the production risk and the business are shared.

Purchase to third-parties: The purchase of goods to third-parties is classified into two:

Purchase under a supply contract with manufacturing companies, according to which Los Charitos provides the necessary seeds for the sowing and the other company undertakes to give **0% of the harvest to Los Charitos.
Purchase of natural goods directly from the field or of goods processed in a plant to be subsequently sold and shipped.

Human resources: We have the appropriate technical staff and manager for our scale of production, and we provide counselling about production to third-parties so that they can mitigate human risks in the production, processing and export of goods.

Research and development for new alternatives: Los Charitos participates in a project driven by the National University of Crdoba involving the development of specific studies to prolong the level of conservation of acidity in sesame oil and of different studies regarding the use of solids obtained from oil extraction.

Our Products: Los Charitos has developed a strategy for production diversification and is sowing sesame, chia seeds, quinoa, amaranth, popcorn, mustard seeds, coriander, and chickpeas.
The area where Los Charitos is settled is excellent for the development of these products and is in line with the objective of achieving a sustainable production.

Our seed is selected and comes from our own harvest, which allows us to generate a process of continuous improvement in the quality of our product.
The companies contracted to carry out labor activities (sowing and fumigation) are companies which have provided this service to Los Charitos for many years, and therefore, the training in the management and handling of these products is constant and specialized.

The logistics:

The company has agronomists in charge of each production area who control the planting, the plagues, the weed and the harvest in each production lot.
Inside the plant natural goods are received in big bags and they are stored in our warehouses according to their incoming quality. Thus, greater efficiency is achieved in the processing for the regulation and development of the plant.
New logistics:

Good transportation:

Natural goods: The goods harvested in the field are placed in big bags, which are loaded onto trucks which transport between *8 and *0 tonnes of goods to the processing plant for their further processing.

Finished goods: The finished goods are transported by truck in bags, according to the client's specifications, to the warehouses that the company has in Crdoba and Arrecifes or rather directly to the destination port where the goods are loaded into containers to be subsequently exported.

Warehouses:The warehouses of Los Charitos are in General Deheza (Crdoba), Arrecifes (Buenos Aires) and in Del Viso (Buenos Aires). The latter warehouse is exclusively used for goods with commercial destination to be sold in the domestic market and not to be exported.

Insurance: All the goods belonging to Los Charitos are transported and processed under an insurance policy subscribed by the company.

Our marketing:

Domestic market:We have a Department of Commerce for the supply of our products to the domestic market. We work in association with and we are suppliers of national leading companies which place our products in the supermarket shelves in our country.

International market: Our Department of International Market Commerce participates in the different international food fairs so as to promote and sell our products in different destinations.
